My Plea to CellularDR.com
I was caught in a torrential downpour while anticipating the subsequently cancelled performance of an outdoor play. I essentially took a shower, clothes on, phone in pocket.
I smartly turned off the phone and removed the battery from my wet phone. Later that evening I stupidly and impatiently returned the battery to the phone.
It resumed basic functionality by the next morning, however, the "wheely" aspect of the click wheel ceased operation and it could only be used to click.
By mid-day, the click wheel resumed normal behaviour and the phone appeared fully functional. That evening, the battery seemed to run out like usual but, despite charging, the phone never came back alive.
If I removed and replaced the battery, the windows mobile boot splash screen would flash periodically in an ineffectual effort to resurrect itself. After some time, it became permanently "bricked".
I returned the perished device to AT&T who unhelpfully insisted that repair was "impossible" and my only alternative was to purchase a new one.
I challenge you to prove them wrong.

Sorry I can't help with your phone, but I'm so glad you're blogging again, otherwise where else would I click on Slashdot, and how else would I read "Children concerned about their parent's use of the web"? It's such a relief to know that I'm not the only addict out there.
