iPhone People
Last night, or rather this morning, around 2 AM, I went to the 24 hour flagship Apple store on 5th Avenue and 59th Street to play with the iPhone. In electronics stores, I always find it interesting to look through the pictures people take of themselves on digital cameras, web cams, and mobile phones. I suppose that make me a voyeur. On the other hand, I also feel you have to be a bit of an exhibitionist to leave photographs of yourself in a public place.
Part of the appeal is that people in the photos are typically happy or smiling. I decided to create a montage of the photos I found on the phone. The device kindles childlike curiosity amongst even the most jaded New Yorkers.

Thanks! I sent them by email. They have wifi in the store and the phone’s email was already configured with an account “ars095.532 AT mac.com” which I assume is a demo account. My guess is ars stands for “Apple Retail Store” but I didn’t check any of the other phones or look into it online.

Haha funny stuff man, and creative! I never would of thought about actually seeing if i could use the email on the phone, lol. Though I thought "ars" stood for, "your a f****** ars".

A very cool idea Will. I imagine there would be a a ton of photos on the iMacs in the shop. In the store in the Eatons centre kids seem to use them as moderday photobooths. I've seen groups of girls spend a good 10-15 minutes snapping goofy photos of themselves.
